Hello!
It is quite strange, because everything has been working and suddenly yesterday disappeared avatars of users, groups etc. The path to data is ok. I have not changed it for ages. I was updating my language files and suddenly that happened. What's wrong?

Richard,
Get permission from your folder and upload your files. It may be that, for one reason qualuer has changed.
I've just set all permissions to all files in data to 777, nothing changed. Should i delete it and copy again to data?
running upgrade.php. If that fails try changing your avatar image to see what happens.
my avatar is not displayed, although there is message : Avatar successfully uploaded. And when i open the folder, there is image that i have loaded; Why ?
Still broken... ; /
Hello Richard,
I may be able to help you out here. Could you please turn on the Elgg debugging (http://docs.elgg.org/wiki/Debug_mode) and get me the Elgg logs. If debugging is turned on, looking at the logs I may be able to tell you what is going wrong in the system.
Regards
Manmeet
Hey! Where excatly are the log files?
The logs goto your apache log file. So to get the log messages for Elgg are dumped into Apache log file.
because there is a lot of it, i'll give the newest ones:

Check the possible reason mentioned in the docs.
Has the timezone on your server changed recently or maybe php has been updated? Or maybe it has something to do with daylight saving time becoming active? Maybe you need to get in contact with your webhoster to ask if there has been changes in the server config.
Apart from the reasons in the docs: you mentioned you modified the language files... Possible reason in case you changed the encoding of the language files in doing so. Best would be to restore the original language files to see if this solves the issue.
