Dear all,
I am a totall beginner and perhaps the most ungifted man in the world as no one seems to have encountered the same problem as me.
I have followed carefully the tutorial of installation and when I tipe the URL of my website (www.b2loshop.com) to visit my Elgg site, I get a page of my webhost (justhost) as if Elgg was not recognised at all.
I hope that I have been clear enough and that someone can help me.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Bruce

You might have copied/unzipped the Elgg files to the wrong location on your server. The content of the archive must be unzipped into the root directory of your webspace, e.g. into the "public_html" folder. The content of the zip file must not be unzipped into a subdirectory (at least not when you want to access the site by entering the main domain name only).
Thanks for your answer iionly. It doesn't come from there though. My Elgg file is unzipped in the "public-html" and in the "wwww".

Then you might need to ask your webhoster why the wrong page is displayed. If their page instead of the stuff in your webspace root directory is displayed they must have installed some kind of redirect.
Ok. Thanks a lot for that
@Bruce. You might just want to install it your CPanel has an auto-installer
Thanks a lot for that. My problem is now solved. I had saved my files in the Elgg1.8.3 folder. My Elgg folder was hence hosted on www.B2loshop.com/Elgg-1.8.3...
Cheers again both of you for your help!!
