Hi,
I am looking to add some hardcoded text/link in the area highlighted below with an arrow symbold (Yes.. believe me, its an arrow) :) This applies for all object like file, blogs, videos. So there should be some common view for all.
Which is the view to be extended for this? I tried with the page/elements/body, but my text is displayed on top of the breadcrump area.
As of now, I tried to extended the page/elements/comments view to display the text in the bottom. But thats not the best way because its the "top of comments" and not the "bottom of text block".

Your response will be really helpful for me to complete my plugin. Thanks in advance.
Try object/elements/summary
Also, for 1.8.1 we're looking into adding some views for the purpose of extending to make this easier.
I tried object/elements/summary.. but my hardcoded link is displayed in the homepage in the custom_index blog block. I do not want that to be displayed. Hope you got my point.
I guess there are no seperate views for breadcrump, text, etc..
Try
$full = elgg_extract('full_view', $vars, FALSE);
if ($full && !elgg_in_context('gallery')) {
//show things
}
Thanks Webgalli. It works fine.
A small query:
In the statement what does !elgg_in_context('gallery') refer to? I did a search on the ELGG API reference, but it does not provided a detailed help.
Is that we are restricting the view to only gallery or how is that to be understood?
Make sure you are using the 1.8 reference: http://reference.elgg.org/trunk/
Cash: Is ths the complete reference guide? I could not see many items in the link provided. Could not find a match for elgg_in_context.
You're right. It appears to be broken. For now, you'll have to use the code. There is good documentation for most stuff. If you find things not documented, open a bug tracker ticket.
If you're not using an IDE like NetBeans, you should. It will make it easy to view the documentation...starting typing "elgg_in" and it will suggest elgg_in_context() and show you the documentation for it.
Thanks for the cofirmatin and suggestion.
I will use Netbeans.
