I update my site, and all my memberships are in the database backup and not on the updated users list, So what files do I transfer from the backup to import all my members into the updated site???

I have faced this issue too during my server migration.
Copy the folder under your data ELGG directory. This folder name will be the YEAR name. For example 2010 & 2011.
