list template help

Hi Kevin, I'm trying to setup a list template. I like the look of the default listing, but I need it to say the title of the form rather than than "Submission to "paddlespots"" I did setup a html form, but I can't get the same styling. and when you click on a result you are brought to another page with just that one listing on it with no way of getting to the form itself. Is there any way I can just change the default_form_data_listing.php? I don't know what code I would need to have it pull the form title.

  • hi all

    i wondering how change size of img in template
    i put in template some code <td>{$img_uploaded}</td> but size of img in search list is 100%.
    in page source i cant find this
    <img src="............./mod/file/thumbnail.php?size=large&file_guid=144">
    but i don't know how change 'size' value to 'small' in template.
    javascipt functions resized images on_load aren't good solution to solve this problem.

    any ideas ? :)

  • In the README.txt it says:

    "You can also use:

    {$my_field_name:thumb}

    to display a thumbnail for the image or video."

  • thanks Kevin,
    sorry for not reading carefully your README.TXT :)
    now i used your solution but it doesn't work correctly

    <td>{$my_field_name}</td> - img view OK
    <td>{$my_field_name:thumb}</td> - source code look : <td></td> ...empty :(
    i checked this 10 times

    i don't understand :(

  • This is a question for skotmiller and Kevin - how do you remove the "Submission to" text at the top of the display form? I've modified the model.php code as instructed, but the text still appears.

    I saw the paddlefriend.com use of the forms - looks great! I want to be able to do something similar.

    thanks!

  • Thanks for the comments. For the form headline itself comment out:

    Line 21 in: /mod/form/views/default/form/default_form_data_listing.php

    To use the title as the link to the form in the search listings: you'll have to ask Mike Vazco for help with that.

  • Hello I am rather new to Elgg but was thinking as a group is we could come up with a dummies ver of this forum... I have been big for years in phpnuke and other CMS programs I like the idea of the total control of the forums like this but for alot this is majorly confussing. Many proplr use software like Elgg becouse they cant code and need a system where they can drop in the name of the forum and who can use it and go. Alot of people also dont really know how to create templates according to their sites template expecally if the site template was created by a pro-developer.

  • I would love a dummie forum! =P
