login box edit

I'd like to modify the login box.
I've installed profile_manager and vazco_mainpage and I'm using the
German language file. In the login box the spelling is not correct:
It's E-Mail instead of Email. Can anybody please tell me the name of
the file that I have to edit? Many thanks in advance!

Your best bet is to use a search tool (grep or a Windows equivalent) to find the term you want to change.

Thank you very much for your quick and helpful response! Now I could modify the box. I already tried to find the solution in the 'de.php' in the languages directory before asking my question. The reason why I was not sure is that I have yet one problem: When I click on 'forgotten password' there is still English text ("To generate a new password, enter your e-mail address ...") that can not be found in this de.php. But I'm optimistic to fix the problem. Seek and you shall find...Greetings from Germany!
simply you can add it in de.php , look at his equivalent in en.php and write it in de.php with your translation
Don't forget to run the upgrade script ... the new set of language most probably won't without it ...
Make sure to have a look at existing language packs that are available here (so you don't have to do all your own translation). Here's one for German:

'profile_manager:user:password_email:text' => "to generate....
