i am getting redirected to homepage when trying to add a new field in form pluggin
even if we try to edit an existing content form , on submission its redirected to Main Page
This works fine for me under earlier versions of 1.7.
I don't have time to test it for every point release. If anyone can reproduce Thuvalpakshi's behaviour and has a fix, please report it here. Or if everything works fine for you under 1.7.10, please report that too as it helps to narrow down the problem.
In 1.7.10 I see this in the logs:
Call to a member function canEdit() on a non-object in /srv/www/fcp/public_html/mod/form/display_object.php on line 25
I don't mind about downgrading, any version you would recomend?
I found the problem with the form and related pluggin.
Its related to page redirection.
Form page handler in the start.php is not same as in the latest elgg release 1.7.10
i'm having the same problem, i'm on 1.7.10 and trying to create fields for registration form, it just throws me back to dashboard. is there any quick fix for this available, or should i wait for new version to come? i'm not eager to downgrade my page.
@ Jushi85 You could also try profile manager:

My focus right now is on an 1.8 release. As rj points out, profile manager supports some kinds of registration forms so if you don't need all the bells and whistles the form plugin provides, you could try that.
I want to create some contents throught this form plugin. I found that it can be only done with this script
thanks for the heads-up rj, using profile manager now :) , and to kevin good luck with the 1.8 version ;)
