Hi there, I know new version is 1.8 but I have my site almost done and I don't know if I must upgrade...

I want to put a link (in external pages menu) but use it like custom index (or so). In my custom index I know how to put a link..I just have to place the menu item and 'point' it outside elgg site, like..you know linking to any site...but how can I add this link as an external page item inside elgg?...for the logged in members can see it and click it too. How can I create this elgg mod and link it?
