Have you looked thru the FB Apps API for this ? I think that FB caters for such functionality in their API.

Won't work at all. I read the read me file, and it says "only works on 1.8" I tried this a few weeks ago and it won't work. May be I am doing something wrong...

Gosh read before speaking.U downloaded the 1.8 version and  then hoped it would work in elgg 1.7.

The above link doesn't contain any readme as such and its meant for elgg 1.7.Please check before writing down.I just downloaded and checked.
