You must log in to post replies.Hi, I wrote a blog post about hunting down this issue, here it is: http://www.wamped.org/post/2174829567/exception-thrown-without-a-stack-frame-in-unknown-on-lin
I had the same issue with one of my Elgg setups, it turned out that one of the functions that was registered with cron hook, threw an exception. As the crontrigger plugin was also enabled on the site - and crontrigger will run your cron registered functions during engine shutdown - the exception was not thrown properly, it all resulted in the above error.
Where do you think these files are found so that I can edit?
engine/lib/elgglib.php, line 1792, function __elgg_shutdown_hook()
Wrap the whole function in a try/catch blog as suggested by the article, and check your error log for a more meaningful message. If this doesn't work, try doing the same with __elgg_php_exception_handler (same file, line 1080). I'm pretty sure one of those will lead you to the real source of the problem.
Please don't forget to post back, if you found the error, you might save valuable time for others as well.
