Hey guys,
I'm a dev for a company in Australia, and I recently wrote the view and action files for removing a user's avatar. It seemed pretty odd to me (and indeed like an oversight on privacy issues) that users couldn't choose to remove their own avatars from the site. In light of that, I wrote up an action file and added one or two lines of code here and there to add a "Remove Avatar" button to the avatar upload page.
It seemed like the kind of thing that elgg might benefit from having in its source, so I was wondering how and where I could submit this patch for contribution? I considered the "plugin" approach, but it seems a bit minor (and a bit too generic) to be a legitimate plugin.

You must log in to post replies. You could post the code here. It seems like a great addition to Elgg. About the privacy for the profile picture or avatar, do you know how to do it?
We take patches in our bug tracker: http://trac.elgg.org/
We also take pull requests at github if you're into that: https://github.com/Elgg/Elgg
Those are the best options for the developers.
@Rj : For the profile icon access, you could try http://code.elgg.org/plugins/tags/1.7/profileiconaccess/
