integrating elgg, joomla, jfusion for forums

I am very new to elgg but i have some background in computing.
Im trying to integrate forum support for my elgg site and running in to trouble. Im wondering if anyone has done it sucessfuly yet? If so I am just looking for a overview. I plan to try agian and i will post the results here. thanks.

- There is an integrqation of joomla-jfusion-elgg already. Its available here or in the jfusion repository.
- There are multiple free froum modules for elgg available here in the community plugin repo, (one is shouwik pointed)

Could use some custmisation, though.
Makis, you can also use our forum plugin, it has both free and more advanced non-GPL version. It's the first forum plugin created for Elgg and is actively supported and constantly extended.
thanks guys for the comments im testing out the free plugins as we speak :) dont know how i missed them before in my search... already have the one suggested by Shouvik.. then im gonna test yours mike.
