I've got a long registration form that asks questions that people have to think about, so it can take some time to complete. I've been contacted by someone who tried to register, but the page timed out. I've done a search and come up with two discussions on timeouts:
http://community.elgg.org/mod/groups/topicposts.php?topic=71940&group_guid=15815
http://community.elgg.org/mod/groups/topicposts.php?topic=517779&group_guid=179063
One suggests there's a one hour timeout, and the other says 24 minutes. Which, if either, applies to the registration form, and is there any way round it?
I want to stop people who aren't serious and genuine trying to join, but don't want to put them off by giving the impression that the system doesn't work!

Ok. It was you who said 24 minutes Kevin, so I wanted to be sure!!
I'll add a warning that they have a hour to complete it.
The two discussions are about different things. I was referring to a login cookie. Brett was referring to the security tokens.
Login cookies are not relevant for a registration form.
