Yesterday (25th Jan 2011) I discovered that all the images, including user profile avatars, on my live ELGG site had vanished. Everything else on my ELGG site works perfectly. The site has been 'live' for about 2 months without any other problems.
Does anyone know why this has happened and how to fix it please.

I too lost all my images and profiles this morning. I checked the .htaccess and I do not have a line as suggested in this thread (plus my .htaccess is not set to 777). One of the users told me she tried to upload an image to her profile, it failed and now no avatar images site-wide.
god save the elgg! :-P
@triplemoons did you check if you errors in your database?

I have tech on that right now. Anything in particular they should be looking for?
Any error. Then fix those errors.

The only thing showing in the error log for the past 24 hours:
Though I think that has to do with the broken Mini Profile plugin link that I haven't fixed yet.
We also did a file restore from 2 days ago and it didn't fix it, so it's nothing that I did in the files.
