  • Hi,

    why do you call your subdirectory as well as your Domain? Call your subdirectory 'myaddon', copy Elgg in there and instal it with the information of the subdirectory!

    Yours localhost must always be called 'localhost' by the installation.

  • Hi Tom

    I have change my subdirectory from "myaddon.com" to "myaddon" and install elgg there.
    I create new database.

    ------------------------

    But still got 404

    -> The requested URL /myaddon/engine/handlers/action_handler.php was not found on this server.

    -------------------------

    At database setting

    - Database hostname = 'localhost'

    At system setting :

    - The full path to your site root on your disk, followed by a trailing slash:
    --->  /home/k1234567/public_html/myaddon/

    - The full path to the directory where uploaded files will be stored, followed by a trailing slash:
    ---> /home/k1234567/public_html/mydata/

    Where is my mistake ???

    Robby.

  • Have you passed on your project also in the subdirectory?

    For example:

    www.yourdomain.com   -> /myaddon

  • The message "not found" mostly refers to the path which must be put wrong!!

  • Hi Tom.

    I created addon domain from Cpanel.
    So www.myaddon.com pointing to /myaddon subdirectory.

    I try Quick Install from hostgator Cpanel. It works. But always failed if I install it manualy (on the same hosting).

    But I need to install elgg on my local hosting (not in US) that don't have Quick Install on Cpanel.

    Tq

    Robby

  • At last, I installed elgg with quick install from control panel at my hostgator hosting, then move workin elgg installation to another server. Still don't know what's wrong with manual install.
