Hey, I'm looking at hosting Elgg on uk2.net
I have spoken to the guys there and they said the most basic package I could buy to use Elgg on would be the Home Package ( http://www.uk2.net/web-hosting/ ) At least for testing etc...
I the Elgg requirements it says " PHP 5.2+ needs to be installed as an Apache module (not in CGI mode or safe mode) "
UK2.net said they use CGI mode, what are the differences, will Elgg not run and will I have to purchase a VPS or a dedicated server?
Thanks for your help in advance!
Ray
