For debugging purposes, I'd like to prevent emails from being sent to new users when accounts are created for them. How do I do that?

You must log in to post replies.Elgg has a default plug in that handles email validation for users, disable it.
Another option is to leave it enabled and use a tool like this one
Thanks. "Uservalidationbyemail" is disabled, and I'm still having issues. What I want is to register a bunch of people for a a walled garden without them being notified yet. Any ideas?
(I'm on a Mac so I can't use the tool you suggested.)
