Internal server error and 404 error

I updated elgg to 1.7.4 a few days ago from 1.5. I am suddenly getting an internal server error and 404 errors. Any ideas of what it could be? something in the .htaccess file? Thank you

You must log in to post replies.You have to update the htaccess file in the upgrade. It's in the instructions.
It wasn't that, there was an issue with the server itself. Thank you anyways
