My elgg site works well with firefox, chrome and Opera.
With IE8, nobody (including Admin) can login or register. The site doesn't accept login or registration particulars, and refreshes the same page. What could be the problem?
My site is http://amwo.in
Thanks.

You must log in to post replies. This issue has been discussed several times before and is typically caused by a mismatch between mysite.com and www.mysite.com domains. It is not an Elgg specific problem.
Usually what happens is that you login under one domain but you have set the URL for your website to the other domain.
They are not the same.
The best solution is to set a redirect to whichever one you want to use and set the Elgg domain to that as well.
See

for more details.
@ Kevin
You got it right, Sir :) My domain is with godaddy.com and the elgg folder is hosted elsewhere. I will add or remove "www", as is required, and see how it works.
I think I got a feel of it now. However, three items don't work:
1. Remember Me (it never saves)
2. External Pages left & right not displayed when logged in.
3. Foot not displayed when logged in.
Sorry for the basic question but is this a simple htaccess redirect command or something a little different?
@mattd : its a simple htaccess redirect. See it at http://docs.elgg.org/wiki/Login_token_mismatch_error
@mattd
At godaddy.com, under "domain management" you get a forward config screen where you can do the redirection to your site location (like http://mysite.com/myelgg). Some softwares (like elgg and Xoops) poses a login problem. Joomla always works well with the redirection.
Another clueful factor. At times, though you get the login page again after entering the user name and password, refreshing (F5) would show that you are logged in! No idea what's going on.
I don't have the faintest idea abot .htaccess :) Could this be corrected there?
