Today the only limitation for non-members users is to participate in discussions, but they can see all the content in the group.
Is there a way to show the group icon (in the "Featured groups" for example), but do not show the whole content.
(I want useres know the group is but without exposed to the content)
Is there a way to do so?
Thank you
Yoram

You must log in to post replies.Hi Yoram,
What do you mean do not show the whole content?
Hi GMA
Sorry, I dropped a word there
I want users to know about the group (that they will be able to see the icon of the group in the groups list), but not to be able to enter that group.
If I'm turn the group private - nobody knows about the group, except the members of that group
Do you mean that if a non-member click on one of the group's blogs he won't see it?
If that is the case, then you just have to set the access level.
@Yoram set permission to private and membership to inivite only
Thanks, jaxcatz.
Apparently I was missing a little something with understanding.
Now everything working OK.
Thanks GMA
Yoram, glad your problem is solved. If you want bigger granularity of access, the GPL version of vazco_groups plugin allows you to define access rights for certain widgets. You can show eg. group files to all users, group albums to logged in users, while group members only to a members of the group.
Hi Mike.
Thanks. I'll check this plugin.
