Hello Brett,
Performed the upgrade, everything went smoothly.
Thanks,
Uddhava dasa
Same here.
Just an idea, why don't elgg provide an "auto upgrade" or "upgrade notifications" in the administration page just like wordpress?
It is easier for the site administrator(s) to notice any update about new release or plugins update. And it would be nice if we can upgrade by just click a single "update to 1.7...." button.
By the way, thanks for the elgg 1.7.3 new release. Everything works fine.
Any potential problems upgrading straight from 1.5.1 to this version?
Only one so far on my test site..
There were a number of issues: Can't DROP 'description'; check that column/key exists
QUERY: ALTER TABLE `elgggroups_entity` DROP KEY `description`;
@jededitor - you probably want to create a separate thread for your upgrade. It should be possible to do the full upgrade. Elgg 1.5 used a key for the column 'description'. If you don't have the key (which would be odd), you will need to manually add it before running the upgrade (the query is "ALTER TABLE `elgggroups_entity` ADD KEY `description`;").
For me, with a new installation of versions 1.7.2 and 1.7.3 i can't enable plugins it shows me an error that i don't remember . it's something like : " misstoken _fields .... "
Is it a commun error or it's just for me ?
It is common for those who do not update the .htaccess file
i think i don't have to upgrade the .htaccess file because i made a new installation
this is the exact message error : " form is missing_token or _ts fields "
