On the Profile screen for all new users the Photo Album widget is titled "album_view". For old users it is still titled "Photo Albums". Is this an issue with Tidypics or elgg 1.7.2 or both?

I have been trying to find the most important plugins that I MUST have working and so far one that is NOT WORKING is the Facebook Connect plugin for this new version 1.7.2. Is there anyone that can help me with this. This is of great importance because of A-HOLES that love to create SPAM Accounts Elgg does not come with enough SPAM Protection to stop them. SO I have been forced to Disable the Register.php file and only let new people sign up by Facebook and Google Friend Connect. Now Facebook as been the MOST used method so far of signing up besides Google Connect. OpenID is too complicated so very very few people ever use it.

So is there anyone who has Facebook connect on the brand new version and has it working?? Also Twitter connect has NEVER worked for me again anyone on the New 1.7.2 also have Twitter Login / Connect working?? IT seems to be in conflict with the new Twitter Service Login that uses the OAUTH which I really like!! But it has a problem with having two Twitter Plugins installed for some reason. Please anyone can help me to get Facebook Connect to work again. And also Twitter Login to work on 1.7.2 Thanks so much to anyone that cares!

The facebook connect issue is because we fixed a bug in 1.7.2 and that plugin depends on that bug because of its own bug. Open up its start.php, find the register_action call and change the second parameter from false to true.

@Ron - possibly neither. I haven't seen this issue on any of the test installs that I've done. It could be a problem with another plugin. Are you running any plugins that affect widgets?

I isolated it to a plugin. Let me do a few more tests to be perfectly positive and then I'll report my findings. Thanks, Cash.

Installed 1.7.2 over a 1.7.1 install..

So far found the following:

a) Cannot disable any plugins.

b) External pages plugin does not allow me to navigate to edit 'about', 'terms' & 'privacy' pages

c) A load of code was visible under the TinyMCE editor when viewing the 'external pages' plugin page. It contained references to Kaltura video plugin that didn't make a lot of sense to me.. I removed the kaltura plugin completely from the server and the code went away.

Cash, I have indeed narrowed down the problem. That is for all new users on the Profile page the Picture Album is titled "album_view". I have tested this on 3 different sites. The plugin that is causing the problem is "eager-widgets". When I turn it off all new users have the title of the Picture Album called "Picture Album" as it should be, when I turn it on, all new users have the title Picture Album as "album_view". No other widget titles are incorrect, only the Picture Album, and this only happens on the Profile page. Isn't Eager-Widgets one of your plugins, Cash? If I can help with any further testing, I'll be happy to, I can prove this out 100% of the time. We love Eager-Widgets, so if you fix it, let us know. THANKS.

Since I am just starting out with elgg I just did a fresh install of 1.7.2, which is working fine so far. :)
