Remove the feature groups totally

Hello!
I'm trying to remove groups complettly from elgg, it acctually started out that I wanted to remove it from the searchlist submenu, but I don't want to use groups at all. So I wonder if some want to share the knowledge bout this?

You must log in to post replies.disable groups plugin from your admin panel
yeah it's disabled but it's still showing up in the search submenu
Try removing "Groups" from Search plugin referrals
