Yep, I need to know this too. It seems silly that there isn't a mechanism for this, yet I cannot find one.
There *was a plugIn to do this, but withdrawn because of *server loads it would create in general. If this feature is *really needed - we can always develop our own plugin or utility to do so.
My client just asked me for this exact feature yesterday. Just want to add a +1 vote for this feature/plugin.
It would be handy if it even had the ability to send an email to each user.
