I think in the next version you should create where to install plugin in admin site and separate language file of plugin to only a folder. If it(language file) is English language it must move to .../languages/en , If Khmer language it must move to ../languages/km so it's mean you have to create an *.xml file.
(Sorry for my English, I'm not well in it.)

You must log in to post replies. Why we have to handle expanded tree? What is bad for now for file-based separation?
why I want you to separate language file, because It'll easy to find a banch of language file of plugin so the translator will easy to find file to translate and if you create where to install plugin in admin site it will make user easy to install thier plugin by ftp and not manual upload like now.
This is just my idea.
