How to Redirect New User to Edit Profile After Registration?

Hi,
How to redirect new user to edit his profile and/or invite friend right after registration but before email activation? Is there such plugin exist? Maybe I can combine multiple plugins to do this? If not, is there a simple way to do it?
In my site, a lot of new users just register and activate, but they don't fill out the profile or invite friends after that. I want to encourage them to do those things.
I am using elgg 1.7.1.

To invite friends to the network, you can either use the elgg's default friend inviter or Contact importer plugin from us http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/webgalli/read/384461/contacts-importer-pluggin

Thanks for suggesting first login redirector. Does your importer plugin work with 1.7.1? What is the best way to encourge users to invite friends? I can't just use another plugin "Login Redirector" to redirect them to Invite Friends page every time they login...

Highroler, the importer plugin is compatible with Elgg 1.7.1. To encourage users to import freinds to the network, put the inviter link in some hotspots of your site, Give them some points for each member they are inviting etc...

is the free version of the importer plugin compatible with elgg 1.7.1?
The Uncaptcha plugin by Brett redirects to Profile and other pages after log-in as you wish (there are a few settings), and it helps prevent automated spam too.
