Try Zonkk - based in the States, but instant elgg installations and free to start.
Hi Giuliano, I am also based in OZ, however value hosting here in oz is very difficult to find. I initially used VPS & now dedicated hosting with Liquidweb, who have been awesome as far as response & service for me. Not Elgg specialists, however I have always found they respond within minutes & are willing to research & learn about most things to help. I have this theory that due to time differences, our work day coincides with the time their techs are often under least pressure & up for a stimulating challenge.
