New Tidypics version coming soon
We are getting very close to finishing our update for Elgg 1.5. It will feature
- updated views for Elgg 1.5
- integration into the new activity river (right now just when new albums are created)
- cleaned up menus and interface
- improved language support (thanks to alfalive)
- control over whether to enable for groups

Good question. Right now it is hard coded to right. The Elgg core does not provide a group settings section that can be added to (at least that I know of). This type of control probably won't get into the 1.5 release just because we want to get it out soon.
But the event_calendar plugin provides such possibiliy over the plugin settings, so I guess it is possible to realise somehow.
Maybe an idea for future release :)

Sitewide settings are easy. I thought you were talking about group settings.
