Hosted Elgg is now available at Zonkk - you can create your own elgg site for free in less than 2 minutes. As well as the standard elgg features, we have added a some really cool stuff only available at Zonkk.com right now.
Standard Features:
- Create your own elgg site for free with your own subdomain.
- Create or use the prebuilt themes for your site. You can also submit your custom themes to the gallery for others to use.
- Charge users of your site to access premium content. You can set which areas of your site are premium and the amount you wish to charge.
- Large number of open source and premium plugins pre-installed.
A la carte Features:
For a small monthly charge you can also add the following features to your site;
- Increase disk space / transfer.
- Use your own URL.
- Remove/Configure your own ads.
- Add Piwik web analytics.
- Enter into a revenue share with Social Commerce.
- Enable the Zonkk scripting tool, Skkript, to totally customise your site.
- Go white label.
There are more features coming soon and will be added in the next few weeks. We are also hoping to release some of the plugins created for the site to the community in the near future.

Any sample sites with Zonkk?
Lovegin - we have a demo set up at demo.zonkk.com - we will in time link to selected users sites too so people can see what others are doing with it. We are hosting approaching one thousand networks right now and growing daily.
@Jimbob I tried this two months ago I think, and it gave me an error... after a while, I couldn't change anything... At the end, I couldn't even sign in, so I gave up.... my question is: How reliable is this hosting?
oh... and the "recent sites" at the bottom of your sites lead to nowhere...

Love the idea. WOuld you be open to customizing a site for me. I need an ELGG WP 3.0 integration. We are using some SEO tools that are wordpress dependent but I Elgg gives me a few more features hat Buddy press, does not have.

@rjcalifornia - we are still in beta and there were a couple of issues that cropped up in the very early days but these have been sorted now. We also had a hard drive failure that needed replacing which caused a little downtime. You can never predict reliability as things do go wrong when you are least expecting it, but since the hard drive replacement there has been no further downtime.
And yes - those 'recent sites' are going to be updated soon...
