I upgraded my elgg-1.5-site up to 1.7.1, and my database has become broken - all the information turned into '?????'.

I thought 1.7.1 does not convert database into latin1 encoding, does it? What should I do to heal the DB?

Sure hope this was a test site or you have a backup.

Had you changed how Elgg talked to the database in your 1.5 install? Added any code related to utf-8?

Sorry but i have a problem. I can't find 1.7.1 update from 1.7.

It's only 1.7 from march and 1.6.2 from april.

How can I update from 1.7, because i just don;t get it?
