Problem installing elgg 1.7

Hi

I tried to install elgg on my webserver.

After entering database-stuff i was directed to the settings-page and filled out this form. When i click on "save" i got a 404 Page not found error.

Hope anyone can help

I it possible to have elgg.idotter.ch point to elgg.idotter.ch/elgg thorugh a changement in .htaccess?
