Search Not Working Might Be htaccess

I have had Elgg installed for a couple of months now, I really like it. However, the search functionality isn't working.  If I try to go to a page two, or search for anything, including a tag, I get an error saying that the website is in a loop that will never end...

"Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

Does anyone have any advice on this?  I am desperate for some help.  I don't know htaccess very well. I can post my htaccess here if would help anyone. I would even consider paying for some help but I can't afford much.

The website is http://utahdogs.com

Thanks!

  • I tried the mod_rewrite test, and my mod_rewrite is working.

    I'm using elgg 1.7

  • 1. It could be something in your .htaccess file. Have you changed that from the one that comes with Elgg?

    2. If you disable all your plugins except the search plugin and try the search, does it work? I'm wondering if you have a plugin that is causing this (if it is not in the .htaccess).
