A new feature is listed in Elgg 1.7, as follows 'Channels
Create channels to share content with a specific group of users.' How does this feature work and where are the controls/commands for it please?

You must log in to post replies.The channels (previous shared access) plugin was not distributed with 1.7, but will be with 1.8. I have removed this from the features page until it launches.
That's a shame, I decided to use 1.7 for a new project because of this feature.

1.8 will hit beta late this year. You can follow the progress on trac. Another good resource is the wiki.
