Is there a way to export the content of blogs, thewire posts, pages, groups, etc. from one instance of ELGG and import it into another instance?

You must log in to post replies. After poking around in the Elgg core, I've noticed quite a lot of code about import/export. However, I'm not aware of a plugin that exposes this functionality to users (or even site admins). It would definitely be a cool feature though....
This plugin allows exporting plugins' configuration.
Can anyone explain a way of exporting sites entities and objects?
In my case, too much messings around created many bugs. I'd like to export my site's contecnt to a fresh install.
If you want to import/export the whole content, it's best to copy all tables except for log tables, datalist and sites_entity. Importing just a given content (eg. just blogs) is a bit more complicated and requires a custom script, since otherwise you can create inconsistency in metadata.
Greetings,
UK Healthcare is about to undergo a IT revolution . . . and we want Open Source Software to play a key role. Elgg gets a mention. If you would like to help please comment on the Guardian article.

Hi,
I know this is an old post, but is there anything like this.
@Speedysnail - you could potentially modify my rssimport plugin to grab content via rss from one elgg into another
