Hi,
Sorry about this, I'm really new to Elgg, just installing it now. I'm trying to add a custom registration form with this plug in and while I can add the form fine, it won't allow me to add any fields. I can get to the add fields tab but when I press the submit button, it just takes me back to my profile. I'm not using a custom template or anything like that. I've tried it in Opera, Firefox and IE7 with no success.
Just wanting to know what I'm doing wrong and how I can go about doing it right.
Thanks,
Courtenay

Since disabling those other plugins (defaultwidgets, riverdashboard, externalpages), I am able to add a form but it redirects me back to the dashboard. Going back in to check, the forms are there.
Should I try reinstalling Elgg? Then install your plug in and activate it before activating any others?
I don't think reinstalling would help.
However, you could try re-ordering the form plugin (eg. try putting it first in the plugin list)
Nope, that didn't change anything either :(
One thing to note, the configuration tab is empty, just has a "change" button. Is it supposed to be like that?
I assume this plugin stores forms in a mySQL db, yeah? If it does, perhaps I can check the database through phpmyadmin to see if things are actually getting added or if they truly are disappearing into thin air. What table?
Yes, that is a small bug. Not all form types have bits to configure. That tab should just go away for those.
But that is something I see as well and I have no problem saving data with the current release.
You can't look in MySQL for Elgg data very easily because of the way it is structured. If you can't see data in the form system then I think that means that it isn't there and hasn't been saved.
Ah fair enough. Well I think I might have to go for a reinstall, it's pretty much the only option left. Do I just delete all Elgg folders via FTP and delete the database through phpmyadmin?
Nevermind, thanks for your help. Going to try out Buddypress.
