How to edit index page

Hi All
1. How do I remove widgets (for latest groups, friends, etc) on index/home page if am the default installation. I want to only have login and then put my own images and ads only.
2. How do I remove widgets (for latest groups, friends, etc) on index/home page if am a plugin installation. I want to only have login and then put my own images and ads only.

You must log in to post replies.Have a look at the custom index plugin--it allows you to customize the front page. I don't understand what you mean about "plugin installation."
I used Custom index plugin, now if i want to put login box on left side instead of right side then what should i do?
