Hi Guys,

I've recently jumped headfirst into Elgging :) and I've had my first win with creating a custom theme i'm very happy with. Looks fab! But i'd like to add an object/entity which for all intents and purposes will be very similar to the existing group or blog. I guess i could describe the intention here is to have users contribute to a database anyone can look at and find info through.

I'd like anyone logged in to be able to create this object (add), and lets say its called 'singers' ...and features:

A name (or title).

Some basic longtext under. No HTML

A custom picture/icon just like groups

When the object is created by the user; 4 linked pages are automatically produced incorporating the name ...like:

1) "name" & history

2) "name" & events - (a list or calendar style page if possible)

3) "name" discography (a list, maybe one day with playable MP3 files, walk before u run jimbo!)

4) "name" & websites & other useful info (URL's, contact details and the like)

No other pages can be created by the owner for this 'singer'. The user can work with these and they are in a sense there to prompt the user to EXTEND the entity.

To do this, or similar i've tried the blog tutorial. Didn't go so well at the point where i'm supposed to goto the specific mod URL on my site and try/see the add form. Fail.

Considered altering the Group / Blog mods to suit, but have found myself getting lost. Worth noting i still want to have groups running normally on the system as well for the usual community stuff.

If anyone can point me toward any tutorials, existing plugins, guides, i'd be super appreciative.
