I've managed to reduce the amount of spam from thousands a month to only 4-5 posts a month by using a combination of Webgalli's spam fighter and my iApprove with Akismet support.
@cim -> mc^2 + point of academic curiosity :- we use only S/A, nuttn' else. we get ~0.0005% spam / 200K reg.users other sites get ~10-50% spam / 200-2000 reg.users there's gotta be a formula somewhere in here.. maybe we're just lucky lolz ;-) or maybe we're doin sumthangy right.
Did 2 things to prevent spam.
