Hi all
I seem to remember the existance of a plugin which allowed registration, but prevented membership until authorised by admin.
One of my sites is taking heavy hits from an undesirable source......

you can also determine their IP# from apache logs and code IP deny in htaccess, viz
deny from 123.123.123.123

My unwanted member appears to be another elgg site owner. And their effort of an online community really is pretty damn pants!!!!
