I had an informational website and I added Elgg to make it more popular. After adding Elgg I lost all of my information and tabs to different sections of the website. My question is, how do I allow users to look at the content without having to sign up? So they become interested in the site. Because I know no one wants to join a social network that offers no information. Also how can you customize your toolbar and add tabs to it? So I can add my old content with the social network??
No one has been able to answer this question yet...I would really appreciate it if someone could help.
Thanks From Adam

You must log in to post replies. The simplest way to do this is by setting the Access Permisson in Site Administration to PUBLIC. This would enable all content to be publicly accessible to visitors, except content set to PRIVATE or LOGGED IN USERS by members. You will also need a site menu plugin to set the menu for public access. You can find this plugin by going to Elgg Plugins.
