You must log in to post replies.Let me rephrase that...i have found http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/jeabakker/read/23232/google-analytics
does anyone have any thoughts or know of any bugs?
better put these Q under the plugin form itself... people will not catch it here...
thanks!
#Ray, analytics works fine with elgg. Personally I would not add a plugin for this, it's not worth the trouble or resources. Just add your analytics to the footer.
views\default\page_elements\footer.php - just above the end body tag - </body>
And this will chart all pages and activity.
thanks goofy!
Worked like a charm!
@Ray remember that this will need to be done again when you upgrade!!!
how often does elgg upgrade?
@ray i would recommend using the plugin, because then you dont have to edit code at all, are able to enable and disable and can edit the analytics parameters using the admin settings! And when a new version of Elgg comes out, plugins should still be working, so no need for an adjustment.
interesting...the footer thing seemed to work just fine and i was having trouble with the plugin but with that logic i'll go back and revisit it when i have some time and make sure i get it sorted out properly...thanks!
