I can't get past page 1!
I submit my database details on first visting the site and it takes me to this...
Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /hermes/web02/b2822/pow.guildfordnow/htdocs/skyonline/engine/settings.php on line 27
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /hermes/web02/b2822/pow.guildfordnow/htdocs/skyonline/engine/settings.php on line 129
...the settings.php file has definately been created at this point and I've checked the settings within it are correct.
Does anybody have any ideas? I'm driving myself a bit crazy with this!
Thanks very much :)
Jude

You must log in to post replies.that --> php syntax errors
ftp reload the settings.php file from clean version and try again, maybe lucky ;-)
Hi skyskratcher, this occurrs a time ago, if you are working on linux and just editing on vim editor, this could be a problem for the ^M end lines (obviosly because some people work in windows system). This is de main problem you could have on editing between diferents operating system.
My solution on this way was edit the original source on nano editor and after this will correct it.
Expecting could help you.
Hi,
Thanks for the help. The first solution did not work, but I had tried that already.
I will try the second now and let you know how it goes.
Thanks :)
