Which of the Files and folders to upload

Am new here and I installed my elgg website through my cpanel and now I can see a higher of version 5.1 and my is 4.3.
Please am here to ask you friends on how to do the upgrade through my cpanel; I want to know which of the elgg version 5.1 files and folders will I upload to my cpanel using my ftp.
Please help me out am a novice

You must log in to post replies.I recommend you simply delete all files and database and install a new Elgg 5.
I tried but it not working when I upload the elgg 5 files and try to install it; it will as me to create a data directory and I did but if I run the installation it will say that the data directory can't be created In the database
But I have elgg website running already
