Hello,
I'm using Elgg 3.14, Tidypics 3.3.1 and Blog 3.0. Adding an image to a blog post also adds that image to the activity river. I know I can switch off all uploaded photos appearing in the activity river, but I was wondering if there's a way to prevent only photos that are embedded in pages and blogs from appearing in the river?
One workaround is to sign in as admin and delete the photos from the river, however, this solution would mean making all the users admins.
Thanks in advance.

You must log in to post replies. It's not about TidyPics or Blog plugins but File plugin.
Every time you upload a file, an event appears in the activity.
It doesn't matter where you do it when creating a blog or when uploading a file normally.
I haven't found a way to do this using Elgg API (none of the hooks I know work for files).
Therefore, I can advise to use the custom view:
With empty code:
You can take my plugin from here so as not to create a new one and put the above file there.
Thank you, Nikolai. Much appreciated.
