Add more effectiveness to pages

I find that the pages are only limited to creating a static page and there is no more activity like Facebook pages and also like the group inside elgg has more activity why there are no pages like this

There can be a lot of activity in a group when there are many discussions or a lot of blogs are created. Activity depends on well.... activity. Users need to do stuff.
I know Elgg is featured, not Facebook
But if opening more possibilities for the pages to become more utilizing them and giving the users more advantages then why not if this improves the script
