HypeWall plus Elgg 3x

I am unable to install hypewall (current github version) with Elgg 3x latest RC. The installation gives error and the admin panel gets lost. To get back the admin panel one has to delete the plugin folder (php 7.3). There being no other proper alternative to hypewall (unless it gets into core immediately) I am wondering will Ismyl return on earnest request or will anyone release 3x compatible versions. What will the sites using hypewall in Elgg2x do when they upgrade to Elgg3x.?

You must log in to post replies.hypewall will only support till 2.x and it may require code updation for elgg 3 which seem like is not happening any time soon unless someone take up the plugin and migrate the codes to support elgg 3.
Exactly so. Thanks for your input. There is no status box (input box atop profile and activity that allows to put text/photo/location etc) in Elgg at present but this seems to have become de facto standard in all social nets and social scripts. The wire is good but convoluted to the current gen of users. This puts us in a fix. Unless hypewall or similar is incorporated in Elgg core, it will mean more diminishing of user base.
