No such issue on my fresh Elgg 3.0rc2 setup. Other can also confirm if they are also having this problem. Probably you are having any 3rd party plugin that is modifying the CSS file that might be causing this problem. If this is the scenario, then disable the plugin modifying the css, flush the cache and run an upgrade.

As I mentioned in my opening post I am using the latest stable release of Elgg with the SocialApparatus Twitter Boostrap 4.1 Theme. So yes, there is a theme in use.

FreiChat - Yes, this isn't a core plugin but it's also not Elgg 3.0 that I am using.

Regarding the third issue - I am not referring to TidyPics but to the default ability to upload files (such as photos). And again, I am not using Elgg 3.0.

Oh sorry, my bad.. there has been so many query related to Elgg 3 that I missed that part.

1. You need to change the css for SocialApparatus Twitter Boostrap 4.1 Theme to resolve the issue.
2. FreiChat - I see that 1.8 supported plugin is released, I am not sure if this will fully work with 2.x (Even the github repo has been removed). I guess the developer is not supporting the plugin anymore.
3. File upload are treated as file.. not as image.. so be it image or txt file.. it will be not generate any thumbnail.
