Message/Notification sent to email

Hello!
I was wondering is there a plugin where if someone messages another user the user will be notified by the email they chose to sign up with? Also the same when a person can be notified if they got a response on an image or post they did/uploaded?

The bundled Notifications plugin already offers the user options to enable email notifications to be sent when a user gets new messages and gets replies to their content. It's a user's choice though to enable the notifications.
There is the bundled Messages plugin.
Like iionly mentioned the bundled Notifications plugin can give the user control over the notifications when new content is posted or replied to. The user can still choose to disable notifications
