Transparent Aalborg header/navbar & text color change for page body

Hey hey!
I have settled with the Aalborg theme and want to see if I can override the default header/navbar and make them transparent. Also my background is dark so the text is unnoticeable to to it being black. How do I change it if possible?

Also, you can ask me an invitation to Platform for Social Apps (or just subscribe it) where you could test different Elgg sites with landing page and additional plugins / themes.

How do one change the color in the river list..specifically the line not the timestamp?
