  • @RvR,

    Thanks a lot for your reply...
    I am a NEW developer!, and so it will take a lot of time to create a custom plugin...
    Tried creating a custom function in /page/elements/comments_block, but getting a fatal error...
    Any workarounds for this?, or can you provide the code...
    I will be very grateful to you...

    Regards,

    Praveen Thomas

    • Make a custom plugin/theme
    • Copy mod/blog/views/default/blog/sidebar.php and paste it in your plugin mod/your_cool_plugin/views/default/blog/sidebar.php
    • Edit it removing this code: lines 11-16
    • Same for pages: copy-and-paste...delete this code (lines 6-9)
  • @RvR,
    Thanks Bro!, The tutorial was good...
    Created my custom plugin and copied sidebar.php!, but I have a few questions...
    I want to make "page/elements/comments_block" read "subtypes" param!, but I am not able to do it...
    For Example:-

    • 'subtypes' => 'blog'
    • 'subtypes' => array('page', 'page_top')

    I want to change the comments $title to Blog comments for blog!, and Pages comments for pages...
    How can I do this?...

  • make "page/elements/comments_block" read "subtypes" param

    'subtypes' => ['blog', 'page', 'page_top],

    change the comments $title

     Where is?

  • @RvR,

    Thanks a lot for your help...
    Managed to pass my custom $params to page/elements/comments_block!, but I have a question...
    How can I add an extra line of code to page/elements/comments_block!, please let me know...
    $title = elgg_extract('title', $vars);
    The above line of code must be added via a hook or some-other way...
